Bible Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental, Bible-believing, missions-minded fellowship of believers. You will find programs for every age group at Bible Baptist Church. The services are traditional in style with conservative music and preaching from the Word of God.

Mission Statement

The ultimate purpose of Bible Baptist Church is to exalt the Lord. We endeavor to do that as we evangelize the lost through compassionate outreach, and edify believers through preaching and teaching the Word of God, through Christ-honoring music, and through Christian fellowship. We like to call our ministry a "3-E" ministry. Based on Ephesians 4:12, we believe that every member should be a minister! Our greatest desire for you is not that you would become a member of Bible Baptist Church, but that if you have not already, you would become a member of God's family by trusting the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.

History

Bible Baptist Church began as Lakewood Heights Interdenominational Church in 1935. In 1957 BBC changed its name to Lakewood Bible Baptist Church. Two years later Norman Pyle was called as pastor. BBC outgrew the Lakewood Heights location in Southeast Atlanta and in 1965 bought property at Cleveland Avenue and Brownsmill Road. In 1976 property was purchased on Valley Hill Road in Riverdale, and BBC moved for a third time. In 1997 BBC moved to its present location in Henry County. Norman Pyle retired in 2003, after forty-three and a half years as pastor of Bible Baptist Church. He was given the honorary title of Pastor Emeritus and continues to serve the Lord as a faithful member. Two months after Pastor Pyle's retirement BBC, voted to call Brad Blanton as its new pastor.
