We recognize that substance abuse is a disorder that affects how the brain functions. Addiction causes disordered patterns of thinking and behavior. The American Society of Addiction Medicine defines addiction as a "primary, chronic disease of brain reward, motivation, memory and related circuitry." Disorder occurs in the biological, psychological, social, behavioral, and spiritual arenas. Genetic, psychosocial and environmental influences all have a part to play. These factors are necessary to understand how a person becomes addicted, and are important in designing individualized treatment to overcome it.

Our philosophy at Blackberry Ridge is powerfully simple: Help our clients live without drugs and alcohol, overcome addiction and help them rebuild their lives.  We offer a full spectrum of state licensed treatment services including medication assisted discontinuation (detox), inpatient, intensive outpatient treatment, and aftercare. Our caring multidisciplinary team of physicians, certified substance abuse counselors, licensed professional counselors, and support staff work together to maximize program success for our clients.
