The Blue Mountain Humane Society, founded in 1967, is a nonprofit animal welfare organization committed not to euthanize healthy, adoptable animals for space. We do not use the term "No-Kill" to describe our efforts, as we maintain that there are situations where euthanasia is the most humane outcome for a particular animal based on injury, other medical needs, temperament or disposition.
Our mission is to prevent cruelty and promote kindness to companion animals in our community.
We will continue our efforts to educate, inform and equip our community with the tools required to accomplish our goal to end pet overpopulation and homelessness.
