Boca Raton Welcome Club Over 40 years of Forming Friendships The Boca Raton Welcome Club was started in 1962. During the 1960's and 1970's many new businesses settled in Boca raton and international corporations built major facilities here. As the population expanded, demographics changed. What had formally been a retirement community changed to embrace newcomers of all ages and interests. Many new residents joined the club, eager to make new friends and famililarize themselves with their new community. In 2005 the Board of the Welcome Club extended the boundaries to include un-incorporated Boca Raton. In 2007 the Board expanded the scope of the group to include volunteering and giving back. In 2008 the Board expanded membership from 3 years to 5 years. The BRWC has flourished for 45 years. the club continues to nurture and encourage new friendships and oppourtinites in the members' new community. The membership year runs from July 1 through June 30. New members may join at any time.
