Mission :

To serve as a lighthouse in our com­munity which reflects the love, grace, and mercy of Jesus Christ. To provide a place where Christians may gather to study the Word of God, to fellowship, and have their spiritual needs met by those of like faith. We are committed to serve both our regular members and the host of guests we have on an annual basis.

History:

Our church began as the First Baptist Island Mission in May of 1983. We met in houses and meeting rooms and pursued the goal of becoming an established church.

In May of 1985 Bogue Banks Baptist Church was constituted as a church and became the first Baptist church on the island.

The church was blessed in many ways by both members and non-members in striving to build our own building. In March 1988 ground breaking ceremonies were held at our present location and construction began. In January 1989 we moved into our beautiful facilities.
