Boone Monument Village (BMV) established in 2013 is a “Living History” site located in Marthasville, Missouri. The 50-acre Village surrounds the Burial Site of Colonel Daniel Boone, (a National Historic Site) an American pioneer and frontiersman who led the western settlement in the late 1700’s.
The Village is deeply rooted in history. In the late 1700’s, Native Americans and French settlers shared the bountiful land, followed by Daniel Boone, the early English settlers and Lewis and Clark on their historic journey. Shortly thereafter, the German settlers followed, establishing a permanent presence in their new “dream land”.
The picturesque Village boasts several fully restored original buildings reflecting the lore and cultures of attacthe area’s early settlers. Soon to be erected are several more historic buildings and structures including an Indian Tipi Village (spring 2017) an 1899 Chapel and a working 1829 Stage Coach Tavern.
BMV is available for rent for private catered events such as weddings, receptions, parties, business meetings, reunions, etc. Overnight guests will be thrilled with our unique B&B lodging in our Historic Homes, Log Cabins, Stone House, and luxuriously appointed Tipis and Conestoga Wagons!
Call or stop by BMV to learn first-hand how our mission to “Create Unforgettable Experiences” with the sights, sounds and foods of a distant time will create lasting memories for all!
