Like the Minutemen, the Border Patrol Auxiliary are a group of men and women who volunteer their time to help protect our borders. This a 501C3 Non-profit entity.
Unlike the Minutemen who are dressed in plain clothes, the Auxiliary are outfitted in Kaki slacks, shirts and hats with the official emblems of identification. Both groups work together to protect our borders with Home Land Security.

7/31/2008 San Diego, California - The U.S. Border Patrol will be holding two sessions of its upcoming "Citizens' Academy" and invites those interested to take advantage of the
opportunity to learn more about the Border Patrol and the San Diego Sector.
"The Citizens' Academy provides the community with a unique perspective of the 'how' and 'why' we operate the way we do," said San Diego Sector.
Participants will gain insight into the mission, roles, and specific areas of
training that Border Patrol agents and ICE officers receive. Topics to be covered include Border
Patrol/ICE history, immigration and criminal law, civil rights, agency
policies, operations, and the policies pertaining to the use of firearms. Participants will attend a
"muster" meeting, observe local operations, and receive an area tour.
The Academy is open to interested members of BPAUX. Sessions will
meet two to three hours a night, once a week, for up to eight weeks.
This should be a great training time for all BPAUX folks, we have lots of field experience, and now we can share that with BP in a live training event!
This really helps give us creditability with BP, and all LEO agencies!
Please contace me if you want to attend, we can also do some type of car pool to help out those who may want to lessen the cost factor!
This is a NO COST Training event sponsored by BP!
