Troop 95 works hard to promote the ideals of Scouting-through the Scout Oath, The Scout Motto, and to live by the Scout Laws. The ideals were captured by John F. Smith and reinforced through his many years of commitment to the Troop. As a living memorial, in conjunction with the Troop, John's family has established the John F. Smith Memorial Fund, which each year will honor the Troop's Eagle Scouts and a Scout of the year.
