About BEDC

Our mission is to support a thriving business economy in Brighton. To do this, Brighton Economic Development provides information, data, and support services to new and existing businesses in the community. Our services include:

Providing economic and demographic data and analysis;
Maintaining business, real estate, and employer databases;
Assisting businesses to locate land, buildings, development sites, and commercial and industrial space;
Providing business assistance to entrepreneurs and small business managers through the Brighton Small Business Resource Center;
Assisting local employers with workforce development issues;
Attracting providers of new goods and services for community residents;
Assisting with the City's permitting and entitlement process;
Working closely with the Brighton Urban Renewal Authority to promote redevelopment within the Brighton Urban Renewal Area boundaries;
Advocating for the business community with the City of Brighton
