The mission of Brookhaven School District is to educate every child regardless of ability, race, creed or social status. This mission can also be re-stated as a vehicle for achieving the District's vision for technology:

The mission of Brookhaven School District is to research, acquire, and implement all appropriate and necessary technology infrastructure, software, and training which facilitates and supports a variety of instructional strategies and learning styles, which nurtures the critical thinking skills of analysis, synthesis, and evaluation, and which stimulates the exploration and exchange of ideas.

This mission includes but is not limited to providing a support staff capable of evaluating connectivity, hardware, and software options; capable of seeking and securing adequate funding sources; and committed to an on-going assessment of personnel, program, and district needs.


Vision :
The vision of the Brookhaven School District is to educate every student regardless of ability, race, creed, or socioeconomic status. It is our belief that all students have equal moral worth, and that all students can learn. All facets of the school program embody the ideals which will ultimately lead to the development of good human relations, constructive citizenship, a realistic concept of the democratic process, and a positive self-image. Education is the concern of all; the home, school, and community share in giving students a firm foundation on which to grow.
