James G. Brumfield Elementary School is a K-5 facility located in Warrenton, Virginia. Warrenton offers a pastoral setting in Fauquier County, which is about 60 miles from our nation's capital. Brumfield school site was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Arrington. The building has 6 grade level pods with 5 classrooms each, several resource rooms, an office suite, media center, cafeteria, and gymnasium.
Our school was named in honor of Mr. James Gilbert Brumfield. Mr Brumfield came to Fauquier County as the pastor of Marshall UnitedMethodist Church and later became an educator in the school division. When we retired in 1991, Mr. Brumfield was the deputy superintendent of Fauquier County PublicSchools.
