Brunswick Concert Band
About Us :
The Brunswick Concert Band was formed in 1987 with only five members and has grown to more than 60 volunteer musicians. Our talented members come from Brunswick, New Hanover, and Pender counties in North Carolina and Horry county in South Carolina.
Members of this diverse group range in age from 12 to 70+ and includes attorneys, dentists, engineers, homemakers, Realtors®, retirees, and teachers, to name a few.
We play a wide repertoire of music that includes (but isn't limited to) big band, marches, jazz, show tunes, and light classical. Our library contains over 200 pieces of music and is expanding all the time.
The band was incorporated in 1995 as a not-for-profit organization and exists based upon the donations of local citizens, businesses, and grants from the NC Arts Council and the Landfall Foundation. The band is a member of the National Association of Concert Bands.
