Mission:
The mission of Buena Vista Charter Township is to create an atmosphere of unity, to promote and implement effective policies, procedures and programs that will benefit all residents.

History:
In 1849, the state legislature passed an act to branch out from the township of Saginaw and organize a separate Township by the name of " Buena Vista".
