Our Mission

The mission of Cache Creek Lodge is to facilitate individual rehabilitation and community reintegration of men struggling with alcoholism and drug abuse with guidance, education, and compassionate support.  The 45-bed residential substance abuse program utilizes a social model based on the 12-step program and addresses a client’s comprehensive needs. Clients commit to a structured schedule in which they receive individual and group counseling, behavioral therapy, financial literacy and employment training, spiritual counseling, temporary housing, recreational activities, and assistance accessing public and community-based health and social services.  In addition to residential treatment services, Cache Creek Lodge runs a 22-bed transitional housing program for clients in various stages of recovery.

Our History

Cache Creek Lodge was established as a nonprofit organization in 1974 by Hugh Cameron, a Yolo County resident and landowner empathetic to the needs of recovering alcoholics and drug addicts.  Since its early beginnings, Cache Creek Lodge was run and supported by local businesses, community leaders, and friends of those in recovery.  Cache Creek Lodge has been at its currentWoodland location since 1994 and currently maintains 45 beds for men,  providing residential and transitional housing for those in various stages of rehabilitation.

Over time, Cache Creek Lodge has maintained collaborative relationships with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs, Yolo County Child Protective Services, Yolo County Felony Drug Court, and Yolo County Probation and Parole Departments.  Many of Cache Creek Lodge's clients are mandated to receive recovery services as conditions of their probation or parole.  Serving the ex-offender population has filled a critical service need within Yolo County and the broader Sacramento region.
