Mission :

The Caldwell Arts Council has been promoting and presenting high quality arts in Caldwell County since 1976.

Located in an historic building in downtown Lenoir, the Caldwell Arts Council offers much to the community. The Caldwell Arts Council is home to 4 beautiful gallery spaces and a small artisan craft gift shop. Exhibits in the gallery change monthly and range from contemporary to traditional, paintings to pottery.

In addition to the gallery programs, the Caldwell Arts Council offers a large Artist-in-Schools program. This program is a partnership program with the Caldwell County Schools. Theater, dance, music, and more are presented to the children of Caldwell County, providing them with experiences that rival those of children in large cities.

We are also well known for our annual Sculpture Celebration that attracts artists from across the country and brings many visitors into the county as well. This past year we helped put Lenoir on the map with the installation of a large public sculpture by world renowned artist, Thomas Sayre.
