CCB's vision is that culture, laws, programs, and attitudes throughout California are inclusive of all people, especially persons who are blind or visually impaired.
Mission
As a statewide membership organization, CCB's mission is to increase the independence, security, equality of opportunity, and quality of life for all Californians who are blind and visually impaired.
Values
Persons who are blind and visually impaired can and should take responsibility for their own lives.
Equal access is a right.
Working collaboratively is the most effective way to create positive change.
Objectives
- To maintain Statewide and local support networks and resources for Californians who are blind and visually impaired.
- To encourage and support enhanced self-esteem, self-determination, and pride among all Californians who are blind and visually impaired
- To promote employment, educational and training opportunities, as well as economic security, for all Californians who are blind and visually impaired
- To serve as the principal California organization representing the rights, needs, interests, and concerns of all Californians who are blind and visually impaired before the California Legislature and other government entities
- To heighten public awareness and understanding of the potential and capabilities of all Californians who are blind and visually impaired
