With approval of Lincoln Health System (LHS), the Lincoln County Commission and the Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS) Board of Commissioners, Lincoln Medical Center has become part of CHS and is renamed Carolinas Medical Center-Lincoln. Planning has also begun to build a replacement hospital to better serve the citizens of Lincoln County, subject to regulatory approval.
