Willma E. Cavitt Junior High is located in Granite Bay, California. Cavitt School enjoys a reputation as having a strong academic and elective program with a capable, caring staff and administration. Willma Cavitt School's vision encourages staff, community, and students to work together developing student responsibility, integrity, and an enthusiasm for learning.
Cavitt has an enrollment of approximately 580 seventh and eighth grade students. Cavitt provides students with the latest in technology. It has three computer labs, a Media Center, a set of 16 wireless laptops for the Science computer lab, two NT File Servers, as well as computers in each classroom. Cavitt has two gyms. The larger gym contains a full length basketball court and a performing arts stage. It has all the classrooms and facilities needed to give students the optimum learning experience.
Principal John Montero leads a devoted staff of approximately 25 teachers and 10 classified employees. They are dedicated to academic excellence and are responsive to the needs of each individual learner. Parents play a very important role with participation and involvement in School Site Council, Career Day, graduation, dances, athletic events, and regular volunteering of their services when needed.
