Center for Cultural Interchange is a non-profit student exchange organization with over 20 years of experience serving the global community by promoting cultural understanding, academic development, environmental consciousness and world peace through international education.  CCI has representatives in over 80 countries (including one in the Yakima Valley) who offer an array of cultural exchange programs in the U.S. and authentic travel opportunities worldwide.  CCI organizes academic semester and academic year programs in the United States, short-term group and individual programs for students in the United States, short-term high school visitation programs in the United States, and short- and long-term programs for U.S. students abroad.  Students are screened and selected in cooperation with sending offices.  Selection is based on language skills, scholastic standing, cross-cultural skills, and motivation.  Local area representatives are searching year-round for volunteer host families.
