Central Iowa Long Spurs is a Des Moines Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Foundation. The Central Iowa Long Spurs and the NWTF is dedicated to the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of our hunting heritage. We are sportsmen, women and children who care deeply about our natural resources and the wild places we love to hunt.

The future of conservation and hunting is inherently linked to the number of new hunters entering the sport. The Central Iowa Long Spurs is dedicated to building programs to reach out to women, children and people with disabilities by providing outdoor recreational opportunities through the NWTF Hunting Heritage Program – Wheelin Sportsman, Jakes, and Women in the Outdoors.
