Cherry Lane School is located at the corner of Heather Drive and Cherry Lane in the village of Airmont.

Cherry Lane's “TIGER” has been the school mascot for many years and continues to inspire students to achieve in academics and sports.

Cherry Lane is a Kindergarten to Fifth Grade elementary school of approximately 400 students. Our core curriculum is devoted to Literacy (reading, writing, listening and speaking.), Numeracy, Science and Social Studies. We are committed to enriching these basic skills by providing learning opportunities in a student centered, hands-on learning environment, which are incorporated into interdisciplinary themes. Physical Education, Art, Music, Foreign Language and Library skills are taught by “specialists” who offer youngsters even greater opportunities to explore their strengths and talents in these areas. Our excellent staff of Reading Teachers, Math Skill teacher, Resource Room teacher, Speech/Language Service teacher, Psychologist and full time Social Worker provide school-wide support for all students with varied needs.

Technology support enhances our learning, with four computers in every class, as well as a fully equipped computer lab. In addition, our children are working on wireless laptops using technology as an important component of all of their curriculum.
