CCUC is committed to bringing the Gospel of Christ to the Chinatown community, to the metropolitan Chicago area, and to the entire world.
The Home Missions Committee oversees outreach efforts targeted to specific groups living near Chinatown. The committee organizes evangelistic training opportunities and events (e.g., Community Christmas parties, Thanksgiving dinner for international students, and evangelistic meetings).
The Pui Tak Gospel Team mobilizes Christians to build relationships and share the Gospel through friendship evangelism to those served through the programs of the Pui Tak Center.
The Publications sub-committee helps to distribute the Chinese Christian Herald, a free monthly newspaper that could be used as an evangelistic tool throughout the Chicagoland area.
The Gospel Resource Center provides evangelistic materials to be given to seekers.
The Foreign Missions Department (FMD) seeks to involve church members in bringing the Gospel to the entire world. The work of the committee includes selecting missionaries and organizations to support financially, maintaining personal contact with missionaries, educating the congregations about missions and organizing short-term mission opportunities. Each October, the FMD organizes a mission conference which focuses the church on the spiritual needs in the world. The Mission's budget supports the work of over 30 individual missionaries and over 20 missions organizations.
