The Church of Our Saviour was founded in 1980 as a church in the Anglican tradition, a member of the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina, a part of the Worldwide Anglican Communion. Since that time the purpose of Our Saviour has been:
“To Know Christ and To Make Him Known"
This means that we see ourselves similar to an Island Connector or Bridge:
We connect UP by building our relationship with God
We connect IN by strengthening our relationships with each other
We connect OUT by reaching out to those in our community and others on Johns, Kiawah and Seabrook Islands.
We connect FARTHER OUT by going out in mission wherever God may send us in the world.
