The Church:

Originally founded in 1956, Church of the Good Shepherd has been a pillar in the Fairfield County community of faith for over half a century.  Infused with new energy we are more focused than ever on serving the spiritual needs of  those God sends to us from Norwalk and the surrounding area and sending to those God would ask us to serve.  Good Shepherd is a relatively small, but fast-growing congregation, which allows for the development of relationships between the people who worship here.  The people that form this church come from many different backgrounds and denominations.

Originally founded as a Lutheran church, some of our members are baptized Lutherans, but we also have many people who were raised in Catholic and non-denominational traditions.  Good Shepherd is focused less on those points of doctrine that separate us and more on finding those things that unite us around Christ and the Scripture inspired in each of us through the Holy Spirit.  Good Shepherd offers a warm, friendly, casual environment for all Christians and even those just exploring their faith.  Our hope is that everyone will feel welcome, and comfortable here.

Mission:

We see a church that introduces and demonstrates the reality of God's kingdom here and now by sharing the peace and grace of Jesus with the people of Fairfield County and beyond. We seek to inspire people to live as passionate Christ-followers, prepared to work within their gifts and skills wherever their call takes them.
