About Us:

The City of Denham Springs is the largest municipality in Livingston Parish.  We currently have 9,913 citizens that reside in our hometown.

We are a close knit community that takes pride in our sense of patriotism and family life.

In 1827, William Denham settled on a piece of property on River Road and decided to stay.  He discovered a number of mineral springs on his property located on River Road.  People flocked from nearby cities where yellow fever was causing many deaths and a health resort was built around the springs.  The City of Denham Springs was eventually named after William Denham, the original settler that developed the land and discovered the springs.

Our city is proud to be a Tree City community and we also strive to be a litter free community.
