 Established in the 1840's, the City of Grand Ledge has held on to the spirit of community and hospitality enjoyed by its first residents and visitors. The Grand River flows through the center of the town and boast of seven islands and a unique geology of quartzite ledges along its banks.

Grand Ledge is home to over 9,000 people and a wide variety of businesses, entertainment and services. The Grand Ledge Public School District, composed of six elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school, and an alternative education high school, educates over 5,000 of the community's children and excels in both academic and athletic pursuits.

Membership in the Grand Ledge Area Chamber of Commerce is always growing and expanding in order to best serve the community's residents and visitors.
