Welcome to Lake Park…where you can spend a vacation or a lifetime! We are a community who highly value 'family and recreation times' and this is quite evident in our many amenities and activities. Silver Lake, situated on the West Side of Lake Park, is a natural 1,041-acre lake offering opportunities for boating and water-skiing, as well as great walleye fishing. Two well-kept campgrounds are located along the Lake's shoreline, offering RV or tent sites and boat ramps. Each May, Silver Lake is 'fished' during the Iowa Easter Seals Great Walleye Weekend. This 'tournament' draws anglers from 100s of miles and boasts a $10,000 prize.

The Silver Lake Country Club, a scenic 9-hole golf course, offers league or recreational play; membership is available, but not required. Several tournaments are hosted throughout the summer.

Silver Lake Park is home to the City's swimming pool and playground, as well as sand volleyball, horseshoe, tennis and basketball courts. Water aerobics and swimming lessons are offered at the pool during the summer. An active horseshoe league, including teams from 5 Minnesota communities, plays each Tuesday throughout the summer.

In addition to all of these amenities, we are also fortunate to have great youth athletic programs offered throughout the year. Some of the programs include: little league, soccer and wrestling. A new athletic field development is underway and will offer expanded opportunities for these programs.
