About
LeRoy might be small, but it attracts visitors throughout the year through its rich history and small town businesses. Hometown of former Kansas Governor John W. Leedy, LeRoy celebrates its history with a memorial honoring Opothleyahola, the courageous and noble Creek Leader, who brought thousands of Indians and hundreds of Blacks out of Confederate Indian Territory into free-state Kansas during the cruel winter of 1861-62. LeRoy is also home to a 100 year old bank, beautiful parks, a quaint library, health clinic, and many small town businesses.
