Mission:
To promote, facilitate, and support economic development in the City of Lonsdale.
Goals :
To increase the industrial base from $347,400 in 2003 to $1,000,000 by 2008. Measurement to based on the tax roll.
To facilitate the development of one new industrial enterprise per year.
To develop a two-way communications program between the EDA and other City institutions and with the Citizens of Lonsdale that is rated satisfactory.
In cooperation with the City Council, the Planning & Zoning Commission, and landowners or developers to facilitate the development of an industrial park of 40 acres in Lonsdale.
In cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce facilitate a plan to keep Main Street viable by improving storefronts, fixing sidewalks, etc.
In cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce to develop an active program to support the growth and properity of existing business operations.
