Founded in 1890, Pell City is the largest city in St. Clair County and one of two county seats. With a population of over 16,000, it offers the conveniences of a large city with the friendliness of a small town. The Civic Center has become one of the most enjoyable spots for residents to visit. The gym and walking track are available for exercise. Classes such as square dancing, aerobics for all ages, karate, arts and crafts are held here. The Civic Center is excellent for banquets and can host large city and county meetings. The grounds include a picnic area, playground for children, walking trail, fishing and boat launch
