The City of Ringgold operates under the Council/Manager form of government, a system that combines the policy leadership of elected officials in the form of a City Council, with the professional, managerial, and leadership expertise of an appointed City Manager.
The City Council is the legislative body for the City of Ringgold. Six (6) members are elected to serve four (4) year terms. The City Council meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, at 6:00 p.m. for a work session, and then at 7:00 p.m. for the Council Meeting.
