The 2011 Ohio River Sweep will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011. Volunteers are needed to help clean up along the banks of the Ohio River. Civic organizations, church groups, scout troops, familes, and individuals are encouraged to participate. Check in stations open at 9:00 am and will be at: Falls of the Ohio State Park, Ashland Park, George Rogers Clark Park, and Lapping Park. Volunteers will be provided with gloves, garbage bags, water, and a free tee shirt. All participants will have free admission to the Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center that day as well. Come on out and show your community spirit! The Ohio River Vally Water Sanitation Commission- ORSANCO- is sponsoring the event in 6 states that border the Ohio River.
