About Us :

The mission of the Clinton County R-III School District is to create a safe environment that will stimulate and nurture an interest in learning with the ultimate goal of creating a student for life and a good citizen who contributes to society rather than taking from society.We are extremely proud of our district achievements in both academics and student activities. Our staff works hard to ensure the finest educational opportunities for our students, while providing them with a positive and safe environment.

Our school district includes Ellis Elementary School (K-4), a Middle School (5-8), and a High School (9-12), all located in Plattsburg, Missouri. Our district boundaries stretch from Trimble to the northern part of Clay County (Holt area) and then northward several miles past Plattsburg.Student enrollment for 2005-06 averaged 860 students (K-12) with 106 faculty and staff. Our district is experiencing a growth of approximately 5% each school year.The cities of Trimble and Plattsburg offer strong community support and cooperation with the district. We strive to work together to attain district goals that will benefit the students as well as the communities.
