Our Mission
The mission of the Columbus Area United Way is to focus resources to measurably improve the education, health and financial stability of our community.
Our Goals
Education: increase to 95 percent the number of high school graduate planning to continue their education (post-secondary education, career certification or military training).
Financial stability: reduce to 5 percent the number of families who are below poverty (families with related children under the age of 18).
Health: increase the number of youth and adults who avoid risky behavior and are healthy (practicing safe sex/abstinence; are not overweight; do not use tobacco, drugs or alcohol; and are not involved in violence).
These goals are ambitious, but with your help, and by utilizing our core strengths — a national network, committed partners and public engagement capacity — we can achieve them.
