Common Ground Farm is a farm project in the lower Hudson Valley dedicated to educating people of all ages about ecologically sound and economically viable agriculture. The farm sponsors a variety of educational programs, including workshops and group farm tours and visits, as well as community outreach activities. In addition, the farm runs a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project through which produce shareholders enjoy a weekly supply of locally grown, pesticide-free vegetables, strawberries, flowers and herbs, providing a direct link from farm to table. As a CSA, produce shareholders purchase shares up front and pay a professional grower for the season, thus assuming the risks of the farm and reaping the bounty.
CSA Details: - Season: June through October - Type: Single farm - Since: 2002 - Full Share: Working: $500/year (requires 10 hours work per share for the season). Non-working shares also available - Work Req? No
