Congregation Beth Israel is one of the Northeast's largest Reform congregations, serving about 850 families of diverse backgrounds. Our clergy are Senior Rabbi Michael Pincus, Associate Rabbi Dena Shaffer, and Cantor Pamela Siskin. Our progressive congregation offers religious services and learning programs for all ages. Our history dates back to 1843, the first year Jews were given the legal right to establish a synagogue in Connecticut. Beth Israel bridges the past with the present and the future by striving to remain a meaningful and inspiring force in the lives of its members.
