Conner High School opened its doors for the first time on October 15, 1970 with less than 600 students in grades 10 - 12. It was built as a result of the overcrowded conditions at Boone County High School. The land for the new school was donated by the Conner family, and it was decided that the school would be named in remembrance of this generous donation.
