Converse Church of Christ is part of the Christian churches/churches of Christ based in the Restoration Movement (a.k.a. the Stone-Campbell Movement). We have no denominational structure and each church is an independent congregation. CCC is directed by a board of trustees, elders, and deacons. This Statement of Faith has been approved by the church board:

We affirm the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, eternally reliable in all matters of Christian faith and practice.

We affirm that there is one God , creator of all , who is all-powerful, all-knowing , perfect and eternal .

We affirm that God exists in the persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We affirm that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and Lord of all , and His virgin birth , sinless life , miracles , atoning death , bodily resurrection , and ascension to the Father’s right hand .

We affirm that Jesus Christ will return to earth personally in power and glory and judgment.

We affirm that salvation is by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and that repentance, faith, and regeneration are necessary to salvation .

We affirm the present ministry of the Holy Spirit to indwell Christians , enabling them to live godly lives and that the Holy Spirit gives one or more gifts to each believer .

We affirm believer’s baptism by immersion in obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ.

We affirm the Table of our Lord, the Lord’s Supper, is open to all believers.

We affirm the priesthood of all believers, making every effort to equip and release the “Royal Priesthood” to the work of the ministry .

We affirm the sacredness of Christian marriage and teach all believers to walk in chastity and marital faithfulness .

We affirm that God governs His church through a plural local eldership .
