The Cottondale Cemetery Association is a historical association created more than 100 years ago to preserve and protect the integrity of the Cottondale Cemetery.  Dues are collected annually (donations of any denomination are appreciated) at an annual event called the Cottondale Reunion.  This event was once considered "Graveyard Working Day", a day held in the spring for the community to come together, share a meal, and clean up the cemetery by ridding the weeds, leaves, broken tree branches and repairing winter damage to headstones.  Nowadays, the cemetery is maintainted by a maintenance worker, paid during the year from dues collected at the Cottondale Reunion.  The Community Building is also maintained from the funds and is avaialble to rent for community and social events.
