About Us:
A small group of about 40 people, including children, met and held a Worship service on Sunday, November 2, 1998 at Little John's Park (formally Tuttle's Park) near Gamewell, NC. The Lord blessed this service and the group voted to found Covenant Baptist Church with it's primary mission being to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Love with the world.
Two weeks later the Lord opened doors and we were able to rent a building in the Hall's Industrial Complex on highway 321 at Hudson, NC. We had nothing but the Lord and a few borrowed chairs, but God began to show us that our needs and weaknesses were His opportunities and He began to work and bless us in many marvelous ways. He grew our fellowship weekly as He saw fit and unexpectedly opened the door for us to purchase the beautiful facilities that we now occupy. We moved into our present facilities the first Sunday in October of 1999. This was less than one year from our founding! How wonderful God is!
In 2002, God led us in our mission of sharing the Gospel, to build a church in Mexico. God provided and this church was completed in 2003 with all construction costs paid for with God's help. God is blessing Covenant Baptist Church of Matamoros, Mexico and God is adding to that fellowship daily!
Our Great and Extraordinary God has blessed us with some of the most wonderful musical talent in our fellowship and a love and warmth unequaled anywhere!
Our pastors are Rev. David Bean and associate Rev. Paul Puett and Terry Kale is our youth minister.
We are located on the corner of the Connelly Springs Road and Lee Pearson Road, just south of Cajah's Mountain near Lenoir, NC.
We would like to invite you to come and worship the Lord with us!
