We started off as Church of the New Testament, then went to "The Covenant," then in May of 2000, we adopted our legal and final name, Covenant Christian Church. We were first located at 422 So. Main Street. Our Constitution was signed in 1983 when Stew Murphy was pastor, but we became an official church in the State of New Hampshire April 23rd, 1985.

I think Pastor Steve can fill you in on who and how the church started. I went the first time by being invited by Sim and Kathy. Tony and Lisa were still little. That first day, Stew Murphy was the Pastor. His wife Patti was there. Donna and Steve, Sim and Kathy and me, Tony and Lisa. When I left there, although I had never been in a "home" church, the joy I felt inside confirmed that God wanted us there.
