About Us:

The Crescendo Concert Series was founded in 1998 to promote educational and cultural enrichment through music in St. Charles County. We achieve this through an annual series of concerts in a variety of venues chosen for their accoustical appropriateness. All are easily accessible by all residents of the area.

Although our primary emphasis is classical music, both instrumental and vocal, our concerts sometimes present other unique genres of music such as folk or jazz. While some of our performers are from the local area, most are from other places in the United State or Europe.

In our efforts to educate as well as entertain and inspire, our printed concert programs include informative notes, and each concert is preceded by a short presentation by a musicologist.

The word crescendo implies growth or a gradual increase. In music, crescendo refers to a gradual swell in volume. Because we have grown in so many ways during the past ten years, the Crescendo Concert Series has truly lived up to its name.

With each concert season the number of ticket holders, patrons, advertisers, and sponsors has also increased. This growth has allowed us to offer quality concert programs at reasonable prices.
