About Us:

Crockett is a friendly community with a small town atmosphere, lively residents, and locally owned businesses ready to serve you. Overlooking the wide CarquinezStrait, bordered by rolling hills and surrounded by park lands, Crockett is a country oasis in the urban San Francisco Bay Area. It's the kind of community where you always allow a little extra time when you go downtown because you're sure to meet someone you know. It's a place where residents and visitors turn out for barbecues and bocce, swim meets and bike races, crab feeds and fist fries, Easter Egg hunts and Christmas dances. Crockett has something for every season.

Crockett is made of old-timers whose families have been here for generations and newcomers who visit one day and immediately decide, "This is the place for us." Since Thomas Edwards built The Old Homestead in 1867, Crockett has been a community of people looking for home and finding it here. Residents like to sit by the fire when winter winds blow off the CarquinezStraits, and they like to garden in summer's soft light. They also get things done: when the pool and park needed to be saved, they saved it; when the town needs to be cleaned, volunteers clean it; when town meetings are needed, town meetings are held and the people speak up. People pay attention here, for the good of Crockett. Crockett is a small town (population 3,200) of small businesses and active people working together to build a better community.
