Mission:
Our Church believes in Missions, both here in the United States and around the world.
History:
Cross Roads Baptist Church began with our founder, Pastor Lloyd Ferguson, and four other families. The church was commissioned out of Mountain View Baptist Church in Snellville, Georgia (Bro. Carl Leach, Pastor), in the summer of 1984. The first meeting was held on September 9, 1984, with 35 friends and interested families. In the spring of 1985, with thirteen families and our faith in God, we purchased our first property on Scenic Highway in Lawrenceville. The building included a 614 seat auditorium, Sunday School rooms, and a fellowship hall. After adding land over the years, the church accumulated 6.63 acres. We eventually outgrew this facility, which by then was worth over $1.3 million dollars, debt free!
The church purchased 21.3 acres on Braselton Highway (Hwy 124), and relocated a few miles to the north, just 3½ miles from the Mall of Georgia. Our first services in the new building were held on September 8, 2002, exactly 18 years after the first service was held in 1984.
While the financial blessings have been many, the greatest blessings to our church are the hundreds of souls that have been birthed into God's family. In addition to reaching souls through our local church, Cross Roads Baptist Church is a strong mission church. We have a TV program, a short wave radio program that can be heard all over the world, and we support approximately 100 missionaries and mission projects around the world.
We are committed to being a Bible believing, fundamental church that seeks to please Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, by reaching souls and following Him daily. You are invited to be a part of this labor of love and work of faith.
