Our Mission:
To build an historically significant lighthouse overlooking Dana Point Harbor, and to preserve this monument once built;
To provide and conduct educational programs for the Orange County Schools, Libraries, and the public relating to the maritime history of Dana Point and the Capistrano Bay Area;
To provide support to the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Dana Point Harbor Patrol (OCSO) and non-profit community groups (e.g. DP/CB Historical Society, DP Coastal Arts, Friends of the Dana Point Library, et al).
Our Goals:
To provide a focal point for our community, a welcoming landmark, and educational resource for our youth and the general public, and an inspiration for all who visit our romantic city.
To pursue the designation of the Dana Point Lighthouse as a private aid to navigation with the US Coast Guard.
To provide rotating Educational Exhibits and a Museum Library.
To invite the US Coast Guard/Coast Guard Auxiliary, Harbor Patrol, Sea Scouts, et al to use our facility for meetings, programs, and a possible Communications Center.
To continue networking with other Lighthouse Societies and Organizations throughout the world.
