Mission Statement:
The mission of Decatur County Middle School is to provide a safe and supportive learning environment so that students will master functioning grade level objectives and will increase their academic achievement by increasing TCAP scores and achieving higher levels of student proficiency in order to be productive citizens.
About Us:
Decatur County Middle School serves students in grades 5-8 in Decatur County. DCMS opened to students for the first time in August 2000. Decatur County Middle School was established as a consolidation of students from Decaturville Elementary and Parsons Junior High School. The school day at Decatur County Middle School is 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Approximately 480 students are presently enrolled at DCMS.
