The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for youth sports, adult sports, special events, recreation classes, senior, youth and adult excursions, cultural events, senior services and programs, the Fitness Center, teen services and programs, beautification awards, aquatics, and supervised parks. The Parks and Recreation Department is also responsible for maintenance of all City facilities. This includes repairs to buildings and park sites, custodial services, supervision of activities held in City facilities, and overseeing contractual maintenance agreements.
