Members of the Dubuque Noon Lions help
their community with service projects and by supporting local,
national, and international programs. Activities include fundraisers,
social events, and interesting programs at the regular meetings.
Some
of the fundraisers for the Dubuque Noon Lions include a food stand at
the Dubuque County Fair and Celebrity Bagging at local groceries
stores. All of the funds we raise are spent in service of others.
We
provide eye exams, eyeglasses and hearing aids for those in need. We
provide scholarships for campers to Camp Hertko Hollow, a camp
specially designed for diabetic children located in Boone, Iowa. We
donate money to many charitable and youth organizations.
Our
club is involved in the Coming to Your Senses Program, which is a
state-wide sight screening program for infant and children.
The Dubuque Noon Lions meet each Wednesday at noon at the Midway Hotel/Hoffman House.
