Dyer Presbyterian Chuch started out as the Dyer Union Protestant Sunday School, located north of US 30 on Hart Street in 1880. The church decided in 1962, under Pastor John Buchanan, to become a Presbyterian Church, and on April 15, 1962 (Palm Sunday) it officially became the First United Presbyterian Church of Dyer. The building at our current location was built in 1965. In 2001, under Pastor Susan Zencka, our name was changed to Dyer Presbyterian Church.
