East Coldenham is one of five elementary schools in the Valley Central School District. We are the second smallest school, with a population of approximately 330 students. We are approximately 1 mile from Exit 6 on Interstate 84, and about 5 miles west of Newburgh. The school sits on 40 acres of land. We have a very large playground area in back of the school, a pond, a stream, field areas, and woods on the property. We use all of these areas for environmental study.

Our School Motto is Believe, Achieve, Succeed. We first want children to Believe in their capabilities and to know that they all have potential for success. Secondly, we want them to establish goals and to work towards Achieving these goals. Lastly, we help the children to understand that they can Succeed in anything they put their minds to, and that by Believing and Achieving, they will Succeed.
